On Saturday, Preston Hollow’s T. Boone Pickens announced his engagement to Toni Brinker. The couple plans to marry next year.
Preston Hollow-area resident Brian Edward Deloney, who was arrested three years ago for a hydroponic marijuana growing operation, received an 18-month prison sentence on Monday. Dallas Morning News reports that Deloney was responsible for selling all of the marijuana during the six-year operation. Additionally, five other men involved in the scheme, four of whom were former Southern Methodist University fraternity brothers, received varying prison sentences for their involvement in the operation.
Jane Weitzman, wife of “shoe maven” Stuart Weitzman, visited Neiman Marcus in NorthPark Center to sign copies of her book, “Art & Sole.” Proceeds from the sold-out event benefited Jewish Family Services breast cancer support. CultureMap reports that Weitzman credits her and her husband’s success to “their continuous devotion to giving back to the community.“
