Advocate photos: Holiday lights on the Northaven Trail

On Sunday night, neighbors gathered on the Northaven Trail at Edgemere to enjoy holiday light displays, food and fellowship. Advocate photography intern James Coreas stopped by and captured these images.

The trail has no doubt become a point of community for Preston Hollow, connecting neighbors who might not otherwise meet.

“What we find is really that trails knit communities together. That’s what’s starting happen in North Dallas,” said Councilman Lee Kleinman at a recent meeting we covered about updates regarding the trail’s westward expansion. It will be a while before the trail construction continues past Preston; it’s set to begin in early 2016.
