19165273.thbJust because the kids are enjoying their winter break and you’re enjoying time off work doesn’t mean criminals looking for some quick cash are taking a break during the holidays, too.

Here are a few crimes that occurred in the neighborhood within the past week, according to reports from the Dallas Police Department:

On Dec. 18 an unknown suspect pried open a back door and burglarized a residence located on the 5000 block of Forest Bend between 11:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. Over three thousand dollars worth of property was stolen or damaged, including several wrapped Christmas gifts.

On Dec. 19 an unknown suspect stole a UPS package from the porch of a residence on the 4600 block of Allencrest and fled the scene at 1 p.m.

On Dec. 21 a woman discovered her wallet missing at 5 p.m. Police reports state the woman believes somebody stole her wallet from her purse during the time she went to look in the mirror in the fitting room at Macy’s in NorthPark Center.
