Shinsei on Lovers and Inwood will offer its full menu on New Year’s Eve, along with specials such as oysters with caviar and Korean barbecue, from 5 p.m.- midnight. Gas Monkey Bar ‘N Grill, the new Preston Hollow-area restaurant opened by Richard Rawlings — star of Discovery Channel’s reality show Fast N’ Loud and owner of the self-proclaimed “the fastest, most expensive, most badass hot rod shop to be found” in Dallas — is hosting New Year’s Eve dinner at 6 and 9 p.m., Dec. 31. Princi Italia will be open 11 a.m. to midnight on New Year’s Eve. Choose from the regular menu during the day, and at night — a special a la carte menu, which you can view online here.

Spoon Bar & Kitchen will have a special New Year’s Eve tasting menu available for $125, with an optional wine pairing for an extra $75 or if the bubbly is more your fancy, add on a vintage champagne pairing for $150. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 214-368-8220.

Blue Mesa Grill will offer a New Year’s Day buffet with omelets, eggs benedict, enchiladas, a carving station and taco bar, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 1. For $18.95 per person, enjoy sparkling wine, mimosas, coffee, tea or soft drinks. $6.95 for children 6 to 10. Free for children 5 and under.

For folks looking to avoid the parties and simply eat some good old-fashioned comfort food (topped in melted cheese aplenty,) Firebird group restaurants Meso Maya, El Fenix, and Snuffer’s will be open with their usual hours and regular menus on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
