At about 2 a.m. this morning, a deadly shooting occurred just outside Preston Hollow proper not far from Bachman Lake.
Officers responded to a call at El Pulpo restaurant on Northwest Highwayand found 25-year-old Francisco Guillen at the rear exit with multiple gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.
According to police, the investigation determined that Guillen and friends became involved in a verbal confrontation with the restaurant’s security guard who then escorted the group out of the building. About five minutes later, as the security guard was monitoring employees who were leaving the restaurant, Guillen allegedly approached the guard from behind and pointed a pistol at him. Fearing for his life, the guard drew his pistol and shot Guillen several times.
Guillen’s pistol turned out to be BB gun.
