Here are a few of the latest crimes that have recently occurred in our neighborhood, courtesy police reports from the Dallas Police Department.

On the evening of Jan. 7, a person attempted to steal several pieces of jewelry, including a silver cross necklace, at Nordstrom in NorthPark Center. The stolen merchandise was recovered and the suspect was arrested and sent to Lew Sterrett Jail.

A man reported that his tailgate, valued at $1000, was stolen from his Dodge truck parked in the NorthPark Center parking garage on Jan. 8, between 8 a.m. and 5:20 p.m.

Just after 3 a.m. on Jan. 9, a suspect in a ski mask, pants, and a hooded sweatshirt climbed over a wall and walked around shining a flashlight into a residence located on the 6600 block of Forest Creek. Video surveillance at the residence captured the suspect entering the resident’s unlocked car and stealing $2300 from a purse sitting on the front passenger seat.

Between 7 p.m. on Jan. 9 and 9 a.m. on Jan. 10, an unknown suspect broke into and stole a locked Ford Escape valued at $10,000 parked in the 10,000 block of Regal Park.

An unknown suspect broke a front window of a residence and fled the scene from a home located on the 5100 block of Palomar at 12:40 a.m.on Jan 11. Damage to the front window is estimated to cost $600 to repair.
