It’s 32 degrees outside — not exactly ideal weather for a rowing competition. So, why not bring the sport indoors?

That’s just what happened on Saturday when Jesuit Prep hosted the Southwest Ergometer Amateur Tournament, or SWEAT. The indoor rowing event attracted more than 500 high school, college, master and adaptive rowers. Participants include some disabled athletes as well as an 82-year-old.

Our photography intern Jennifer Shertzer was there to capture the action. She writes that SWEAT is a huge fundraiser for Jesuit. That’s Jesuit Head Crew Coach John Fife and SWEAT Organizer Bob Bacic in the first picture. (Click to enlarge)
