Crime report square

A summary of recent criminal activity in the Preston Hollow area, courtesy reports from the Dallas Police Department:

An unknown suspect entered through a bedroom window and stole $80 cash, along with a television valued at $1000, on the 7200 Briarmeadow near Walnut Hill and Hillcrest, between 1 and 5 p.m. on March 12. Video surveillance captured the suspect entering and exiting through the same window on the front of the house.

A house on the 12,600 block of Harriet Circle, near the Dallas Tollway and LBJ, was burglarized between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. on March 13. A television valued at $1800 was stolen, as well as $500 worth of jewelry, including a Texas A&M class rung. The burglar was able to gain access to the residence via a key that was hidden on the back patio.

On March 13 at 10 p.m., two individuals attempted to steal more than $100 worth of makeup from the CVS located in Inwood Village. An officer watching security surveillance apprehended the individuals, and all stolen merchandise was returned to the store. 

Between midnight on March 13 and 6 p.m. on March 14, an unknown suspect stole bowling balls and shoes valued at $550 from a vehicle parked on the 6700 block of Lupton near the Walnut Hill/Hillcrest intersection.

On March 14 at 8:30 p.m. an unknown suspect stole $430 worth of electronics from the Radio Shack on Forest and Marsh. The suspect then entered an older model black Jeep driven by an accomplice and fled the scene.
