As work crews finish up construction at Trader Joe’s in Inwood Village (which will open May 30,) another store is preparing to open later this month, too.

Dog supply store, Raw by Canines First, will open its second location in Inwood Village, Suite 232, on Saturday, May 17. Susan Strough, a professional dog trainer with more than 14 years of experience, opened the first Raw by Canines First location in Highland Park in 2013.

Give the proximity to The Juice Bar and The Body Method, you might think that a new, raw-food focused restaurant is opening in Inwood Village, but this one's for the dogs.

Given the close proximity to The Juice Bar and The Body Method, you might think that a new, raw-food focused restaurant is opening in Inwood Village, but this one’s for the dogs.

All retail products are 100% grain-free and include food (mostly raw, frozen food as the name implies) plus treats, chews, supplements, toys, dog beds, and training materials. Rosie and Friends, a locally-produced line of bath and skin care products specifically for dogs, will also be available for purchase.

Leash up your pup and come check out the new digs at the grand opening celebration, which will feature dog adoptions from DFW Rescue Me, dog food samples, and drawings for gift bags, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
