Around 11 a.m. on May 15, an unknown suspect smashed the window of a vehicle in the Northaven United Methodist Church parking lot and stole over $1,000 of property, including a Michael Kors purse, two wallets and several gift cards.

An unknown suspect broke the front passenger side window of a car in the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church parking lot between 9:00 and 9:15 a.m. on May 15, stealing nearly $1,900 worth of items that included Gucci and Michael Kors purses, two wallets, cash and an iPhone 5.

A suspect was arrested at the NorthPark Center Macy’s store around 1 p.m. on May 16 after being caught on security camera returning a set of gourmet pots and pans he had stolen just minutes prior, valued at $191.24.

On May 18, a suspect driving a stolen vehicle crashed into another vehicle on the 4200 block of Candlenut Lane, damaging the second vehicle’s rear bumper. The suspect continued to drive to the end of the street without giving any identification to the other car’s owner, who observed the incident. The suspect then collected several items from the stolen vehicle before fleeing the scene in a red SUV. The owner of the second vehicle was unable to provide details about the suspect’s appearance, but the suspect’s car was confirmed by the Irving Police Department as being stolen and was towed to the Dallas Auto Pound.

A pick-up game of soccer at a park near Park Central Drive and Churchill Way turned violent on May 17 around 12:30 p.m. when a player became angry over the referee’s call and threw the soccer ball into the referee’s face. The referee did not require medical attention but found the player’s actions “upsetting and offensive,” prompting him to call police. The player was issued a citation and all parties left without further incident.
