A new fitness studio is coming to Preston Royal Village. The national franchise, Pure Barre, will open a location in the now vacant space next door to Royal China.
Geared mostly toward women (although men are welcome), Pure Barre mixes ballet and Pilates. As an alternative to high-impact workouts, the method tones muscle rather than bulking up, says owner Britta Lofgren, which is why it’s ideal for women. Each session ends with stretching. Participants often start seeing results after 10 classes.
Construction will begin in the next couple of weeks, and Lofgren plans to open the studio this fall.
