Just in time for the heat of summer, we now have access to gourmet Popsicles in our neighborhood. Pop Star Handcrafted Popsicles announced it’s selling pops at North Haven Gardens.
Pop Star is a regular vendor at the White Rock Local Market, serving cold treats on a stick with all-natural, organic ingredients for $2.50 each. And the flavors are little more innovative than those found in a box on the frozen food aisle: chocolate peppermint, watermelon lime, Texas blueberry and strawberry lemonade, to name a few.
The pops have earned local praise, landing on the Dallas Observer’s 2013 Best-Of list, which notes that ice pops could be next trend in”artisan” food.
Speaking of cold summer treats, don’t forget to grab a free Slurpee this Friday at 7-Eleven. And before summer ends, take a trip across LBJ Freeway for the watermelon cooler at Fat Straws Bubble Tea.
