Of course, of course — you should not speed. Ever.  But here’s a little something extra to help you avoid the officer’s radar.

Almost every day the Dallas Police post on the official department Facebook page a list of “traffic enforcement locations,” also known as speed traps.

Around these parts, 5300 Royal at Inwood and 9000 Hillcrest (near Park Lane) seem to be popular enforcement spots, though change them up every day.

The problem now—we might have to rethink the vernacular. If they are telling us where they are, it’s not exactly a trap, is it?

Flower Mound, Keller and other area cities are doing the same, stressing that the goal is not to write tickets but to get people to slow down.
