One of the 18 castaways announced this week in the new cast of the longstanding reality show “Survivor” is a Preston Hollow resident and cheer coach who’s ready to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity. And hopefully, claim the million dollars awarded to winning contestants.

Missy Payne, founder of Cheer 4 Your Life, will compete alongside her daughter, Baylor Wilson, in San Juan Del Sur for the 29th season of the reality show competition.

Payne tells CBS that she and her daughter will win because they make a dynamic duo and have a lasting positive effect on people who we come in contact with.

“Playing the game with Baylor whether we are on the same tribe or not will be an unforgettable experience due to our duo determination, competitive edge and ability to never give up,” she says.

Along with coaching and training more than 200 athletes at her competitive cheerleading gym, Payne created the Park Cities Pee Wee cheerleading program and formerly coached at several schools in the neighborhood, including The Episcopal School of Dallas, The Covenant School and Hillcrest High School.

Watch Missy and Blair in the season premiere, Wednesday, Sept. 24, on CBS.
