The Pavilion on Lovers Lane has been bustling lately, gearing up for two new businesses slated to open in the months ahead.

That’s according to Jamie Stephenson, manager of the Lovers Lane shopping center. After spotting that Laguna Coffee + Tea closed, pictured above, I called Stephenson to learn more about the changes underway.

Turns out that California-based cycle studio The Ride House, is set to open around Jan. 1. The studio will open up in Suite 100 — the old Phoenix Salon spot. (The salon recently moved to 4560 W. Mockingbird, Suite 104.)

Stephenson says that Coconut’s Fish Cafe has also signed a lease in the shopping center, with an expected opening date of Dec. 1.

The fast casual fish taco restaurant will be the first Texas location for the Maui-based chain. I’m still waiting to hear back from the restaurant about what we can expect at our neighborhood outpost, but the website says that its salads, pasta and tacos have a Hawaiian twist with flavors such as mango, wasabi, coconut, pineapple, and ginger. There are also homemade condiments and a variety of fish to choose from, including Ono, Mahi Mahi, and Ahi tuna.

Coconut’s Fish Cafe will replace Donna’s Pie House Cafe and Laguna Coffee and Tea — both of which have recently shuttered. Stephenson says that he is unsure if those retailers will reopen in another Dallas neighborhood any time soon.
