Fresh wreaths and greenery
North Haven Gardens hosts a workshop on how to creatively work with fresh greenery to make your own living wreath, this Saturday from 5-6:30 p.m. Each attendee receives a blank 18-inch noble wreath as well as juniper, pine and magnolia for decorating. Home for the Holidays
The SPCA of Texas will host pet adoption at NorthPark Center Nov. 28-Dec. 23. Assistance is offered at select times to help families choose the right animals for their lifestyle. Adoption fees range from $50 to $250. The fee includes spay/neuter surgery, all age-appropriate vaccinations, de-worming treatment, a heartworm test for dogs six months and older, initial heartworm preventative for dogs, a feline leukemia and FIV testing for cats four months and older, a microchip and a free leash or cardboard cat carrier. Pet adoption hours are Monday-Saturday 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday noon-6 p.m.

Mysteries, Signs and Wonders: The Art of Barbara Hines
The Museum of Biblical Art features impressionist paintings inspired by Israel from Texas-based artist Barbara Hines, the first exhibit inside the museum’s new National Center for Jewish Art. Some artwork is for sale, and Hines donates 100 percent of her profits equally to the museum and Chabad of Dallas. Through Aug. 30; costs $10-$12; closed Thanksgiving Day.
