This weekend: ‘Sights and Sounds of the Season,’ plus more

Students from several area schools, including Hockaday and W.T. White, are set to perform in “Sights and Sounds of the Season,” this weekend at NorthPark Center. All month long, the shopping center’s annual holiday event showcases entertainment from dozens of local groups, schools and churches. View the full schedule online here. Free

The North Dallas Chamber of Commerce will host its holiday party this Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Sparkle! at the Hilton Anatole (2201 N. Stemmons). Enjoy a family holiday experience that includes indoor ice skating, more than 1.2 million holiday lights, bounce house village, and more. Casita Tex-Mex Bar & Grill will provide appetizers. Attendance and parking is free. Guests are encouraged to bring a toy or monetary donation for Santa Cops of Dallas, which assists members of the community who have been victims of crime. On Sunday, Santa arrives at the Frontiers of Flight Museum by helicopter to let his reindeer rest up before Christmas Eve. Celebrate his arrival with cookies, treats and activities including building paper helicopters, from 2-5 p.m. Cost included with museum admission ($5-$8, children under 3 free).
