After several months of navigating re-routed lanes due to construction, neighborhood drivers will soon be able to access 635 on a new entrance ramp.

That’s according to a recent released statement from LBJ Express. The ramp, which extends from Marsh to eastbound 635, is set to open by 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12. It’s also “further west from the existing ramp, providing drivers who want to enter the main lanes immediate access from the Marsh intersection.”

Work associated with the project will begin Thursday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m.

The first phase of the $2.7 billion LBJ Express project was finished one year ago, marked by the opening of the new TEXpress managed toll lanes. Still, it will be about two more years until construction is finally completed.
