This Valentine’s Day will be the last for one of our neighborhood’s best dining splurges. Bijoux, which we featured in the magazine last spring, will close Feb. 28.

Chef/owner Scott Gottlich said in a press release, “We feel now is the right time to close, on a high note, so we can stay focused on our other restaurant, The Second Floor at the Westin Galleria, and take time consider future projects.”

During its eight-year run on Lovers Lane, Bijoux received two five-star reviews from the Dallas Morning News, and in 2007, Bon Appétit named it one of the “10 Hottest New Restaurants in America.”

Scott runs the restaurant with his wife Gina, who serves as sommelier. They live in Preston Hollow with their two young boys.

Patrons have just one month to score a reservation before the restaurant closes, and Feb. 14 is sure to be a popular date. Bijoux has been the site of many marriage proposals, anniversaries and wedding celebrations.

“Valentine’s Day has always been one of our busiest and most special days, so it’s important that we give our guests one more romantic dinner at Bijoux,” Gina said.
