The Austin-based sandwich spot, VertsKebap, opened today in Preston Hollow Village, and this Saturday, they’ve giving away free food. Stop by 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Jan. 31 and score a free entree (one per person) and enter a raffle to win free VertsKebap for a year.
The new restaurant announced its plans to open in our new mixed-use shopping center last fall. It specializes in the European kebap, similar to a gyro but on panini-pressed flatbread filled with vertically roasted meats and fresh vegetables with a yogurt-based sauce.
The sandwiches are customizable with a build-as-you-go ordering process, and most entrees are fewer than 550 calores, in keeping with the new healthy fast-food trend taking over our neighborhood.
