Sam Baker performs at 8 p.m. Feb. 6 at Uncle Calvin’s Coffeehouse. The Austin-based singer-songwriter has been called the “best kept secret in Texas,” having appeared twice on NPR’s Fresh Air. IN 1986, Baker was one of the few survivors of a terrorist bomb attack at on a bus to Machu Picchu in Peru. He had to relearn to walk, speak and move.
