The Friends of the Northaven Trail hosts its first 5k run along the hike-and-bike trail, and whether you run the course or not, it might be hard to miss. Just follow the pops of color.

The Color Run is a family fun run in which participants come wearing white and get doused in colored powder at four stations while running the trail. Live music by local band, Midtown, will follow the run, along with food from Modmarket.

It all starts at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 26 at Freda Stern Dr. and the Northaven Trail. Parking is available at the Jewish Community Center. The 3.1-mile route follows the Northaven Trail westward and ends just east of Preston.

Register here. Now through April 24, you can pick up packets at Orange Theory Fitness in Preston Hollow Village. After that, packets are available at PlayTri on Mockingbird, 8 a.m.-noon at the Virginia Cook respite at St. Michaels Dr. April 25 and on site the day of the event.
