The event begins at 9 a.m. May 16 at Bachman Lake, and the students hope to bring in at least $2,000 in donations.

During the monthly Midtown Art Walk at Valley View Center, artists will raise money for the earthquake relief effort in Nepal. Margo Lee Miller of Badmargo Art Gallery and Studio is donating 50 percent of the sale of a special painting, and containers for donations will be placed throughout the galleries. Several Dallas-area residents from Nepal affected by the disaster will be on hand to answer questions and share their stories. The event is 6-10 p.m. May 16.
