Women have long touted the benefits of spas. There’s nothing like a pedicure and massage to help you decompress. Since Father’s Day is June 21, we decided to round up five neighborhood salons that cater specifically to men. Dads, it’s time to treat yourselves.

The Gents Place on Preston offers beard and mustache trims, straight razor shaves, and body waxes. You can even have your shoes shined to look extra sharp.

The Boardroom Salon For Men in Inwood Village says its vibe is similar to that of a “1920s country club.” Want a membership? $625 is the starting rate. You will receive unlimited haircuts and discounts on products for a year.

Eighteen Eight Fine Men’s Salon opens later this month in Preston Hollow Village. The company offers a variety of facials and scalp treatments.

If you’re the Clint Eastwood type, head to Cowboy Up Men’s Salon on Luther. Kids are welcome too. The salon has plenty of saddle-shaped chairs for “lil’ buckaroos.”

Of all the options in our neighborhood, Rooster’s Men’s Grooming Center is the most traditional. This modern barber shop in Preston Center offers haircuts, neck trims and golf advice “for what it’s worth.”
