This Preston Center shop features rustic home furnishings, art, clothing and accessories from designer Jason Lennox. He hesitates to call it a men’s boutique, though. “It’s not a male perspective, it’s my perspective,” he says. Anteks is full of surprises. You’ll find hatchets, belt buckles and Lennox’s own line of silver accessories carried in the Smithsonian gift shops. We like the Brackish Feather Bow Ties, crafted from turkey feathers, and Antek’s is the product’s only Texas carrier.

Ken’s Man’s Shop is a required stop in the search for the perfect Father’s Day gift. You’ll find classic Raffi v-necks, Atelier Gardeur pants, Italo Ferretti ties, and more. For something simple and practical, look for the “power stays” by Wurkin Stiffs. These nifty inventions remedy the dreaded limp collar.

Sometimes the best gifts involve spending time with Dad rather than buying things. Run elbows with Chef Chris Ward of The Mercury during a Father’s Day grilling class 1-3 p.m. June 13. Ward shares his recipes and offers tips on selecting, cleaning, seasoning and grilling. The spread includes ribeyes, porterhouse, New York strips, filets, local market steak, grilled avocado salad with tomato relish, tomato mozzarella salad and blueberry cobbler.
