The space Balls Hamburgers once occupied finally has a new tenant. Meet Preston Hollow Grill. Though it has only been open a week, the restaurant is settling into our neighborhood quite nicely.

Leather furniture and photographs of Dallas landmarks, like Inwood Theatre, make the dining room feel cozy and familiar. The menu includes options for both light and hearty appetites. Order smoked goat cheese fondu, watermelon and radish salad, steak or a plain ol’ cheeseburger. Dishes are $6-$32.

If it ever gets cool enough, the large patio might be a good place to enjoy one of the grill’s several cocktails. The Perdy Shandy costs $7. A combination of pilsner, fresh lemonade and mint, it seems particularly well-suited for the outdoors.

The restaurant opens at 5 p.m. Monday – Saturday, but stay tuned. Lunch will be offered in the future.
