John Falldine, Edgemere’s managing director, gets dunked

Residents at Edgemere senior living spent last month playing games for a good cause. They participated in the Alzheimer’s Association’s “The Longest Day” event, a sunrise-to-sunset event that symbolizes the journey of those living with the disease.

All in all they raised $17,000 for Alzheimer research. Fundraising events included a dunking booth, raffles, a community-wide garage sale, an all-day bridge tournament and other activities.

In September, Edgemere hosts its annual ho-down and will add the proceeds to the pot.
