Area sprayed for West Nile virus

A couple unfortunate things happened in our neighborhood recently, but we’re determined to see the silver lining. Here’s the bad news and the good news.

The bad news: On July 28, a white van intentionally backed into the CVS on Marsh Lane. Police believe the driver and his/her accomplice hoped to steal the drugstore’s ATM.

The good news: The suspects did not succeed in their efforts and the fiasco was caught on camera, which might lead to an arrest. Click here to watch.

The bad news: Last week, some mosquitos on Sundial Drive tested positive for West Nile virus.

The good news: Parts of our neighborhood were sprayed with insecticide July 31 and August 1. Still, city officials recommend Preston Hollow residents wear bug repellant. Special precaution should be taken in the evening, when mosquitos get particularly hungry.
