By October 4, 100-degree weather should be a thing of memory. Celebrate at Preston Hollow Early Childhood Association’s (PHECA) annual Party in the Park.

The event will feature a live DJ, face painting, balloon animals, a trackless train and food from Hamburger Man and Kona Ice. To join the fun, head to Preston Hollow Park on Thackery at 4 p.m.

Tickets should be purchase by October 1 — they cost $25 for PHECA members and $35 for the general public. Proceeds benefit Reading Partners, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing childhood literacy. Bring a book to donate, if you like. Click here for details.

(Seems our neighborhood has declared October park party month!)
