Decompress tomorrow at Medical City’s women’s wellness event. From 6-8 p.m., learn new yoga postures, attend a cooking demonstration and get a chair massage. Nutritionists and doctors will be available to answer questions. Tickets are $5. Proceeds benefit the Be the Difference Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to helping women beat ovarian cancer.

North Haven Gardens kicks off its Fall Harvest Festival this Friday at 4:30 p.m. Sample craft beer and make a seasonally appropriate centerpiece. The gourd-centric festivities continue through Sunday. Click here for details.

Max the Brave, a fictional cat, has lofty ambitions. He hopes to become a great mouse hunter, but he’s not even sure what a rodent looks like. Learn how he remedies that problem at Barnes and Noble’s story time. Kids and their parents should gather at the location on West Northwest Highway this Saturday shortly before 11:00 a.m. Book-related activities to follow the reading.
