Junior League of Dallas works hard to ensure the academic success of our city’s low-income population. Twice a week, members of the neighborhood organization volunteer with Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas (BGCD). Through the BGCD STEPS mentor program, they help area high school students navigate the college admissions process.

To celebrate this decade-long partnership, the Junior League recently donated $30,000 to STEPS. AT&T helped write the check, which will be used to get more than 300 students per year college-ready.

“We want to express our sincerest gratitude to the Junior League of Dallas and AT&T for their support of our Collegiate STEPS program this year,” Charles English, CEO and president of BGCD says. “This program encourages students, who may not otherwise feel they have the resources both academically and financially to consider higher education, explore their interests and find the resources to pursue them.”
