Thanks to The Episcopal School of Dallas, more than 50 art teachers from across the metroplex have a venue for showcasing their after-work creations. “Artist as Teacher/Teacher as Artist,” an annual exhibit investigating “how art relates to a school’s curriculum, how art influences culture, and how culture influences what artists create,” is on display at the campus’ Susan M. Frank Center for Arts & Humanities through Dec. 5.

“We wanted to showcase educators who not only teach art, but seriously ‘create art,’” Vikki Martin, an art teacher at The Episcopal School of Dallas, explains. “We believe that this event makes the relationship between the student and teacher even more valuable, as it shows the opportunity students have to work alongside practicing and professional artists.”

The featured artists come from 20 area private schools, including Hockaday, Jesuit, St. Mark’s, Ursuline, Lamplighter and The Winston School. Click here for details.
