Preston Hollow resident Monece Appleton was tired of seeing toilet paper hanging from branches. But she has three young boys and gets why TP-ing is fun. She didn’t want to do away with the practice so much as improve it.

Earlier this year, Appleton founded Tag Flags, a business that sells easy-to-clean-up tape and tiny flags that slumber party goers use to decorate their friends’ yards.

“It is a way for kids to prank their friends’ homes that is fast, fun and friendly,” she explains. “Nobody likes cleaning up toilet paper — and nobody in the neighborhood likes seeing it for weeks on end.”

Tag Flags merchandise is currently sold online and at Swoozie’s in the Plaza at Preston Center. Click here to learn more about the company.
