Nancy Strauss Halbreich

Preston Hollow resident Nancy Strauss Halbreich spends a lot of time doing good. Actually, that’s an understatement.

She serves on the board of nine nonprofits, including the Parkland Foundation, The Hamon Charitable Foundation, and the AT&T Center for the Performing Arts. Additionally, she helped found Family Gateway’s advisory board and co-chaired the $150 million capital campaign to build the new Parkland Hospital.

It was Parkland that nominated her for the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ “Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser” award. Halbreich will accept the accolade next month at the organization’s 30th annual National Philanthropy Day Luncheon. Nancy Dedman will chair the event along with Sarah Elliott and Rebecca Rhule. Broadcast journalist Scott Murray has signed on as emcee.
