Did the rain ruin your weekend plans? Maybe the theater students at W.T. White can cheer you up. For $7 catch their performance of “Only a Bird in a Gilded Cage” tonight or tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
James Smethers, Director of the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts at W.T. White, wrote the comedic play, which encourages audience participation. Buy a bag of popcorn for $1 to throw when cued.
Ideally, the performance will occur outdoors in the Atrium Theatre. But it will move indoors if this thunderstorm keeps up.
“Come and see which [stage] nature conspires for us to perform on,” the W.T. White Theatre Department said in an email yesterday.
Rain or shine, enjoy the show!
