On November 30, just 4 days after Thanksgiving, an attempted burglary was reported in the 7000 block of Northaven Road.
According to an email from the Hillcrest East Crimewatch, the home’s alarm sounded at 3:20 p.m. Our neighbors returned to discover their storage room and garage doors had been kicked in.
“The door from the garage into the house was pried open, setting off the alarm,” Beverly Houston, a volunteer with Hillcrest East Crimewatch explains. “The would-be burglar ran through the house and exited through a back bedroom sliding door and back out the back gate.”
A police report was filed and officers collected fingerprints. The good news? As of today, no items appear to have been stolen.
