A new restaurant opens in Preston Hollow Village today at 5 p.m. Matchbox serves up wood fired pizzas, salads, specialty cocktails and more. This is the Washington D.C.-based eatery’s first Texas location.

Our neighbor Dirk Nowitzki collaborated with Chef Mark Mabry to create a snazzy burger. It’s called, appropriately, the Dirkburger and it’s slathered in jalapeno beer cheese, bacon onion marmalade, arugula and mustard horseradish aioli. As if that weren’t fancy enough, the bun is Bavarian pretzel. Order it with fries for $12 at American Airlines concession stands during the month of March.

Hospitality Sweet recently announced the opening date of its Preston Center location. Mark your calendars for March 16. Each guest will receive a complimentary cake pop while supplies last.
