Preston Hollow joined Dallas more than 70 years ago

Preston Hollow became a part of Dallas 71 years ago next week. Our neighborhood was previously an incorporated area with its own mayor, like Highland Park.

To celebrate the merger, the City of Dallas hosted a parade, replete with firetrucks. Here’s a picture from the April 4, 1945 edition of The Dallas Morning News:
