Musician Jean Synodinos may live in Austin, but she’ll play a show in our neighborhood this Friday. Listen to her Joni Mitchell-esque songs at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15-$18. Interesting fact: Synodinos “spends her Friday afternoons teaching guitar and songwriting to incarcerated women in Travis County,” according to unclecalvins.org.
Introduce your little ones to the work of Henri Matisse this Saturday at NorthPark Center. As part of the mall’s ArtRocks! program, volunteers will help kiddos create Matisse-inspired masterpieces. There’ll also be a puppet show, story time and sing-a-long. Arrive at 12:30 p.m.
