Let’s be honest, running isn’t or everyone. But when you get to run through clouds of colorful powder and come out looking like an abstract work of art, it’s a whole other ballgame.

For the second year, the Color Run, a 5k fit for families, brightens up Northaven Trail (see route map). The run is this Sunday, May 1, at 4 p.m. Registration is $35 for adults, $15 for kids 12 and under and free or little runners 5 and under when joining an adult. Color packets and bright white t-shirts are included (except for littles, but are available or purchase), and the day ends with a festival in the park with food trucks and live music from the Toadstool Cafe Band.

The day is hosted by Friends of Northaven Trail and Preston Hollow Village and serves as a fundraiser for the trail.
