Our neighborhood is home to some of the most highly decorated private schools in the country.

In recent weeks, the all-boys St. Mark’s School of Texas and the all-girls schools Hockaday  and Ursuline Academy of Dallas have made some noteworthy “best of” lists along with Jesuit Preparatory Academy of Dallas and the Episcopal School of Dallas.

Both St. Mark’s and Hockaday came in at No. 2 on Town & Country’s list of the Best Boys and Girls Schools in the country. The rankings, which consider graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores and other factors, came from a list of 25 Best Private Schools in U.S. from Niche, a reviewing and ranking company that closely tracks educational data. Niche put St. Mark’s in the No. 16 spot on the national list, but when it came to the Best Private Schools in Texas, it was No. 1. Hockaday was named the third best private school in Texas, while Jesuit was No. 18, Ursuline came in at No. 20 and the Episcopal School was No. 21.
