Package thief steals gift meant for child whose mother has cancer

Even the Grinch stealing Christmas had more of a heart than the man who stole a package from a Preston Hollow porch. CBS’ report doesn’t say where or when the crime happened, but it does tell the story of Oliver Bessera, an 8-year-old who was just trying to cheer up a friend whose mother just began chemotherapy.

Bessera picked out a cool NERF gun to give his friend some distraction from his plight at home, but after the package was delivered by Amazon to his front porch, an unidentified man swiped it in broad daylight. The family’s security cameras caught the crime, and show a white male in distinctive dress, including unusual blue and white shoes.
