UPDATE: Due to this week’s wet weather, the organizers of Bulldora Music Experience have been forced to pull the plug on the inaugural festival after the city canceled its permit at Reverchon Park. Here’s the original post from May 30:

The first ever Bulladora Music Experience will take place on June 3-5 in Reverchon Park. The three-day festival will include some of 2016’s biggest emerging acts on a worldwide, national and local level, including Yeasayer, AlunaGeorge and Washed Out (check out some videos below).
Co-founders Josh Harris and Zac Miller, both newbies to Dallas, say the festival will be a first of its kind for Dallas, “focus[ing] not on quantity, but on quality in every aspect of the event.”
On Friday, the main event is a showing of the musical film “Daft Punk Unchained” that is free of charge. Unfortunately, Daft Punk won’t be in attendance, but “Unchained” will give viewers a look into the duo’s entire career (see the trailer below).

On Saturday and Sunday, the musical acts will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the last acts going up at 8:30 p.m.
For single-day passes, the price is $49, while the two-day passes are $99. In addition, the festival will offer hot air balloon rides, a pug petting zoo and more.

So bring a lawn chair, a blanket or even enjoy one of the hammocks at this summer kickoff concert.
