The Preston Center task force was so inundated with responses from the neighborhood regarding future development, they have decided to delay their meeting this month so consultants from Kimley-Horn can update their report. The meeting, which was announced for June 15, has been rescheduled to Thursday, July 7, from 6-9 p.m. at the Walnut Hill Recreation Center, 10011 Midway Road, in the ballroom.

On June 2, more than 150 gathered to give their input on several proposed designs.

“The July date will allow the consultants to present a complete refined draft report for the advisory task force to fully review, which will incorporate all citizen feedback and proposed transportation and land uses scenarios. In addition, we plan on holding an additional community meeting in September to gather your feedback on the proposed report,” stated an email from Councilwoman Jennifer Staubach Gates about the meeting being rescheduled.

On June 2, Kimley-Horn spokesman Mark Bowers said they were hopeful to have council approval come September, but it appears that date has been pushed back as well.
