This Friday, June 17, The Shops at Park Lane presents a free showing of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Enjoy the movie from your own picnic blanket or from one of the restaurants surrounding. The movie starts at 8:30 p.m., so don’t be late. Alcohol is only available for purchase at the restaurants. For more information, visit the website.

Also at The Shops at Park Lane this weekend, classic cars from a wide swath of eras will be on display in honor of Father’s Day. Sponsored by Morning Maniacs, a local group of car enthusiasts, the event takes place Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Expect rock ‘n’ roll as well. All proceeds benefit Operation Once in a Lifetime, which takes soldiers to Arlington Cemetery to honor their fallen brothers and sisters.

Over at NorthPark Center, “Stephanie’s Day” is an event designed for special-needs children and their parents. The day will include performances by The Que Pastas and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey ambassador clowns Kelly and Becky, along with free activities like face painting, games, music therapy and more. For parents, there will be organizations that offer resources for special needs children. The event is Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. between Nordstom and Dillards.
