Dustin Marshall — the District 2 representative on the DISD school board — is hosting a series of get togethers throughout the district starting tomorrow morning.
According to an email blast from Marshall the events are a “casual and informal opportunity” to meet with the school board representative.
Marshall scheduled similar events in July.
Earlier this year the District 2 election ended in a hard-fought runoff between Marshall and Mita Havlick. Only 42 votes separated the two candidates.
Mike Morath vacated the District 2 seat last December to become the Texas Education Agency commissioner, leaving one year of his three-year term to be filled.
