1603170002_DannyFulgencio_DustinMarshall_DISDCandidateDustin Marshall — the District 2 representative on the DISD school board — is hosting a series of get togethers throughout the district starting tomorrow morning.

According to an email blast from Marshall the events are a “casual and informal opportunity” to meet with the school board representative.

Marshall will be at the Live Oak Buzzbrew tomorrow from 9-11 a.m. and on Thursday, Sept. 22 from 9-10:30 a.m. He will also be at Times Ten Cellars at 6324 Prospect on Friday, Oct. 14 form 5-6:30 p.m.

Marshall scheduled similar events in July.

Earlier this year the District 2 election ended in a hard-fought runoff between Marshall and Mita Havlick. Only 42 votes separated the two candidates.

Mike Morath vacated the District 2 seat last December to become the Texas Education Agency commissioner, leaving one year of his three-year term to be filled.
