Preston Hollow residents looking for a quick bite and a cold craft beer soon will have a location in the neighborhood where they can do both.

Bluffview Growler’s construction began Monday, and it is slated to open its doors in December, according to its Facebook Page.  The bar and growler filling station has found a home at the ground floor of the Elan at Bluffview Apartments, located at 3850 W. Northwest Highway.

What sets Bluffview Growler apart from its sibling Lakewood Growler is that it will offer bites and snacks, instead of the latter’s bring-your-own-food approach. Part of the reason for that is the location is in a mixed-use building, so at least 25 percent of its sales cannot be alcohol, according to CultureMap.

Lakewood Growler, which opened in 2014 near the Mockingbird and Abrams intersection,  offers 36 craft beers from across Texas on tap, in addition to kombucha and root beer. Bluffview growler plans to offer the same amount of taps, with wine and soda, too, according to CultureMap. But much like the building, the full menu is still under construction.
