City Hall Vote!

One polling spot near our neighborhood drew some 24,000 early voters.

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Northeast Dallas has been the busiest polling location in Dallas County so far, with over 24,000 people casting votes in the first 10 days of early voting, according to a story on WFAA.

It’s popularity is likely related to it’s convenient location, right off I-75, near NorthPark, making it convenient to East Dallas, Lake Highlands and Preston Hollow residents as well as suburban commuters.

Election judge Robert Ackerman (who happens to be the spouse of an Advocate advertising representative) told reporters the spot generally sees a large turnout, but nothing like this year, where some 2,000 voters a day turned out during the early voting period.

Ackerman said his crew there keeps crowds moving through efficiently, so the lines never got too overwhelming.
