While some eighth-graders admire their family members, aspire to be their favorite athlete or even look up to their teachers, one Dealey Montessori student’s hero is none other than Wolf Blitzer.

Preston Hollow neighbor Aiden Ross wrote about why the news anchor inspires him for the 2016 Dallas Celebration of Student Reading Essay Contest, sponsored by the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. He is one of three eighth-grade contest winners, and we’re going to assume he’s the only one to write about Blitzer.

“Wolf Blitzer has dedicated his life to reporting the news, so that the common people can be informed,” Ross wrote. “I think the way he has spent his life is very honorable, and I have immense respect for this. I also like Wolf’s personality, and traits, and though some have said he is humorless, I still love him.”
