Hanukkah begins next week, and events celebrating the festival of lights already are underway.
The holiday often includes Shabbat services and gift giving, but this year Preston Hollow’s Jewish Community Center gave local families another opportunity to make their season brighter.
The inaugural Hanukkah Hoopla featured plenty of kid-friendly activities, vendors and food.
Roughly 800 people attended the event, says Ashley Bundis, the marketing services and program director of the JCC. Considering Hanukkah Hoopla coincided with the BMW Dallas Marathon, that’s quite the turnout.
Both Shearith Israel and Temple Emanu-El will hold Hanukkah services on Dec. 30. Get all the details here.
